The Netherlands marks Theo van Gogh murder/An Islamophobe and antisemite is not a saint

TEN YEARS COMMEMORATION OF THEO VAN GOGH AT THE
SCENE OF THE CRIME
Het is stil bij De Schreeuw
THE MONUMENT ”DE SCHREEUW” [THE SCREAM], IN
HONOUR OF THEO VAN GOGH
Joan of arc miniature graded.jpg

THEO VAN GOGH WAS NOT
ST JOAN OF ARC
This year it is ten years ago, that filmmaker Theo
van Gogh was killed, which is commemorated on several
places like the scene of the murder, ”his” monument
”De Schreeuw” [The Scream] and a commemoration on TV.
His films were performed again in Eye [The Amsterdam Filmhouse],
lectures,  documentaries on television and so on.[1]
Was he then the Dutch St Joan, Jeanne d’Arc? [2]
Not at all.
Here stands a common provocateur, a man, who loved to humiliate
and insult others and above all, an Islamofobe and antisemite.
A man, who didn’t deserve any attention, let alone this
ridiculous canonization.
Let’s open the dirty chamber pot and try not to
vomit from the smell.

EU: MUCH TALK ON RIGHTS, FEW RESULTS

Political Will, Collective Action Needed to Address Serious Abuses

RELATED MATERIALS:
Respect for human rights is measured in deeds, not words. Ordinary people, from the homeless in Hungary, to black and Arab teenagers constantly stopped by the police in France, to Syrian asylum seekers in Greece, are paying the price for the lack of robust rights enforcement.
Judith Sunderland, senior Europe and Central Asia researcher

(Brussels) – European Union (EU) leaders in 2013 acknowledged problems of rising intolerance and persistent human rights violations across the EU, but failed to take concerted action, Human Rights Watch said today in its World Report 2014. Human Rights Watch documented EU-level developments in migration and asylum, discrimination and intolerance, and counterterrorism, highlighting events in 11 member states, including a new member, Croatia.

Racism in the Netherlands/Party for Freedom/ PVV, Wilders and the poison of racism

”Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy”
Naomi Wolf
”Ten steps to close down an open society”
INTRODUCTION:
In her book ”The End of America, Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot” [1] the American writer and
activist Naomi Wolf describes ”Ten steps to close an open society”, the ten mechanisms, which
lead to a police State.
The suspension of the freedoms in a democratic State is one thing.
The other thing is the scapegoat model, which leads attention from political and economical
problems and covers the true meanings of authoritarian politicians, who rise to power by
either socalled ”democratic elections” or a military coup.
Through history, that scapegoat model, which breaks solidarity and makes
innumerable innocent victims, has brought disaster on mankind.

Dear Readers,
Not only the acquittal of the Dutch policeofficer, who shot Rishi
Chandrikasing to death, is an absolute scandal, it’s also a great risk.
For when a cop, who caused the death of a defenseless, unarmed civilian, is going
to work again, he is a great danger to society.
It can happen again.
Now there are people, who allege. that Rishi himself was no peach either [or to put it otherwise:
had a criminal record] [1], doesn’t matter at all.
Fact is, that any human being, whether ”respected citizen” or not, has a right to life and protection
of his/hers life, and that thew police has no right to end that life, when tere is no obvious case of self
defence.
And there wasn’t, since Rishi was running for the police [2]

Nelson Mandela ”I am prepared to die”/Mandela’s statement in the 1964 trial

NELSON MANDELA ”I AM PREPARED TO DIE”/MANDELA’S STATEMENT IN THE 1964 TRIAL

I am the First Accused.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and practised as an attorney in Johannesburg for a number of years in partnership with Oliver Tambo. I am a convicted prisoner serving five years for leaving the country without a permit and for inciting people to go on strike at the end of May 1961.

At the outset, I want to say that the suggestion made by the State in its opening that the struggle in South Africa is under the influence of foreigners or communists is wholly incorrect. I have done whatever I did, both as an individual and as a leader of my people, because of my experience in South Africa and my own proudly felt African background, and not because of what any outsider might have said.

Voorstander (R) van Zwarte Piet duldt geen tegenspraak

There she stands. A small black woman in a big white sweatshirt. Alone on a quiet patch of Malieveld (The Hague). Proudly she puts a flag in the air, the flag of West Papua where her roots lie, the flag that’s banned in Indonesia.
She demonstrates against the Indonesia that annexed West Papua. “Since that conflict, 400,000 Papuans killed.” And she demonstrates against the United Nations, the organization that does nothing to stop it.

[Doorbraak]/Black Pete is sooo 1850

BLACK PETE IS SOOO 1850

The Black Pete figure is outdated. Soon this racist figure may become a museum artifact in an exhibition on 19th century colonialism. Because the black house slave of the white master Sinterklaas is sooo 1850: the year in which the teacher Jan Schenkman blew life into the figure through his book “Sint Nicolaas and his servant”. The social movement which, 150 years after the abolition of slavery, demands the abolition of the Black Pete figure is on the winning side.
