Revealing a crime is not a crime
Introduction:
Early morning 19th february action Group ”War on your doorstep” , has  taken action  against the National Aerospace Laboratory , one of fifteen companies from the Netherlands that are planning to take part in one of the largest arms fairs in the world, the largest in the Middle-East, the IDEX [International Defence Exhibition
& Conference]. 
The National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), located in Amsterdam, received lots of red paint on their doorstep and facade, as well as broken windows.
A good action, as far as I am concerned.
 
For of course it didn’t happen ”out of the blue”

Dear Readers,
Knowing Susan Higginbotham as the author about
Medieval history and often blogging about that period and
shortly thereafter, I was pleasantly surprised to learn about a
Guest post, referring to the American Civil war.
Guest poster is the writer Jeffrey Stayton, who wrote a novel
about the Civil War, focusing on a sort of soldiers shell shock,
PTSD.
His book is titled
”This side of the River”
See the Blog
Perhaps she welcomed his Guest Post because of her yet to be published
novel on the aftermath of the American Civil War ”Hanging Mary”, which
actually refers to the president Lincoln murderer William Booth
However interesting, I had some comments on Stayton’s post and approach.
For I acknowledge the suffering of soldiers because of the horrors
of war, but comparing to that, the suffering of the thousands and
sometimes 100 000 civilians is seldom counted, at least not as individuals.
Therefore I wrote the following comment under Jeffrey Stayton’s post,
for remembering everyone, that the common civilians mostly pay
the highest price in wars.

I want to draw your attention for the following:
Recently I have .learnt, that you are one of the sponsors
of ”Spot on Israeli Theatre”, a cultural event, which has
been organised by the Stichting Rainbow.
Your involvement shows the official governmental interest
in this project.
Since the State of Israel, the country, that you represents
in the Netherlands, is a 47 years occupying country of
the Palestinian territories and Syrian Golan Heights,
I am of the opinion, that no cultural ties must exist
between Israel and other countries, as long as Israel
doesn’t obey the rules of civilisation and International
Law to end the occupation and respect the
fundamental human rights.

OUR REPORT:

(Cairo) – The systematic and widespread killing of at least 1,150 demonstrators by Egyptian security forces in July and August 2013 probably amounts to crimes against humanity, Human Rights Watch said today in a report based on a year-long investigation. In the August 14 dispersal of the Rab’a al-Adawiya sit-in alone, security forces, following a plan that envisioned several thousand deaths, killed a minimum of 817 people and more likely at least 1,000.

UN Secretary Ban Ki Moon reacted violently on the [second] Israeli
attacking of a UN School, calling it a ”criminal act”.
Even die hard ally and arms supplier, the USA,  were ”appalled” by
the ”disgraceful” shelling of the UN School.

 ISRAELI CRIMINAL  REGIME OF OCCUPATION
Dear Fighters of Justice,
Hereby I express my solidarity with your courageous
owned subsidiary of the Israeli military company, Elbit Systems,
is fully responsible for the Israeli warcrimes and crimes of
humanity in Gaza.
It´s a shame and disgrace that your government as well as mine
are still cooperating with the murderous IDF gang, your
EU as a whole turns a blind eye to Israel´s crimes.
Therefore all of them have  blood on their hands.
But we will not let them get away with this and go on with the struggle,
in solidarity, untill the Palestinian people is really free.
Israel, the occupying power, has to withdraw from the Palestinian
territories, dismantle the illegal settlements, break down
the illegal Wall and acknowledge the Palestinian right of return.
Dismantling of the zionist apartheid State!
One free Palestinian State for all its inhabitants,
Israeli, Palestinians and others.

EU RELATION WITH ISRAEL IN THE LIGHT OF THE ISRAELI
ATTACK ON GAZA ”PROTECTIVE EDGE”
”The Union is founded on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom,
democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including
the rights of persons belonging to minorities. These values
are common to the Member States of a society in which pluralism,
tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality between women and men
prevail”
Article 2, Lisbon Treaty
”The Union’s action on the international scene shall be guided by the principles which have
inspired its own creation, development and enlargement, and which it seeks to advance in the wider
world: democracy, the rule of law, the universality and indivisibility of human rights and
fundamental freedoms, respect for human dignity, the principles of equality and solidarity, and respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.”

Dear Mrs Ashton,
At the moment I am writing  to you, at least 1437 Palestinians,
in Gaza have been killed, since Israel started its military
operation ”Protective Edge”. [1]
Among those killed were 342 children.
According to sources in Gaza’s Ministry of health, 80
per cent are civilians. I fear this number will have
increased at the moment you read this letter.
The last horror I learnt was the Israeli attack on a UN School,
killing 15 and wounding 125. [2]
On Israeli side, there were three civilian victims,  two Israeli  and a
Thai worker.
No less deplorable, but, like the conflict, assymetric.
Those killings, with the high civilian toll, are not only horrible,
but stem chiefly from Israeli indiscriminate attacks and
extrajudicial killings [3], which are serious breaches of
International Humanitarian Law, failing to make
a clear distinction between combatants and non combatants.[4]
