ANTHONY AND SIENA/JUST BEFORE THE DUEL/BENEDICT’S OATH TO ANTHONY

HALLO FOLKS
Here is your dedicated Bridgerton Fan again
As you’ll know, I posted several pieces about Bridgerton [1]
Here is one of the most touching scenes from the Bridgerton series!
Namely the scene shortly before the duel between Anthony Bridgerton and
his best friend Simon Basset, 2nd Duke of Hastings, for the honour of
Anthony’s sister Daphne [season 1] [2]
You’ll know that Anthony had a long standing love affair with the
opera singer Siena Rosso [3]
One of the best proofs that it was not just lust, but real love, was the oath that
Anthony made his brother Benedict swear just before the duel, that he always
would take care for Siena, should he  not survive the duel.
When you are living your possible last hour [in those Regency Times a Duel was a Matter of Life or Death], you think of the very person you hold most dear.
Were it just ”lust”, Anthony would not have cared at all [4]
So below the very words Anthony and Benedict changed in the assumption
that Anthony could die
Hoping you are as  touched by the scene as I was

Just before the Duel Anthony asks Benedict to take care
of Siena if he dies:
This is what they said:
Anthony: “If I should fall, I need you to promise me you will take care of Siena Rosso.”
Benedict: “Anthony…”
Anthony: “Promise me. Ensure she is provided for. She is to want for nothing. Do you understand?”
Benedict: “I give you my word.”
Anthony: SWEAR IT!
