KLM COMPLICITY WITH THE DEPORTATION OF AN AFGHAN FAMILY TO
UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS AFGHANISTAN/LETTER TO THE KLM
LETTER TO THE KLM:
TO KLM BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT
YOUR COMPLICITY WITH THE DEPORTATION OF AN AFGHAN FAMILY TO
DANGEROUS AFGHANISTAN ON 9 APRIL 2013
AMSTERDAM 10TH OF APRIL 2013
Dear Board of Directors
Dear Management
By this I want to ask your attention for the following
Despite my request, not to deport an Afghan family [father, mother and 3 children aged
14, 9 and 4] you nevertheless have deported them
See their picture
See my letter to you dd 8 april 2013
The family has been deported  at 9 april from Schiphol
Departure time 14.30
Flight 0427
As you will undoubtedly know, because it is a war stricken country, the situation
in Afghanistan is very dangerous as is the human rights situation, which puts the
familiy in great trouble and danger
How dangerous the situation really is, is to be read in the Ambtsbericht of the Dutch Ministry of Interior Affairs, dd 4 july 2012,
especially on the pages 32-35 and 48-63
See the Ambtsbericht
The humanitarian disaster the family will face is caused by the fight between
the American/Western troops and the Taliban, the fight between war lords and
the serious criminality, stemmed from the chaotic situation.
Summary executions and abductions are part of the daily life.
Being an air transport company it is your moral duty, not to cooperate with
deportations to unsafe and dangerous countries.
When I wrote you in the past about your deportation cooperation to unsafe and war countries, you mentioned, that you were only the air transporter and that the Dutch
government made the asylum policy
I say to you:
You can’t use that cheap excuse:
As an air transport company you have an own choice and responsibility.
THESE ARE NOT JUST WORDS!
In the past failed asulumseekers, who were deported, have been imprisoned or killed
after their deportation.
A horrible example is the Afghan asylumseeker Nezam Azimi, a known opponent of the
Taliban, who was refused asylum by the then immigration minister mrs R Verdonk.
He is deported in 2006 and killed by the Taliban in 2010 [1]
In such a case the Dutch authorities are head responsible [2], but also the
air transport company, which has cooperated with this deportation.
EPILOGUE
It’s not the first time I and others confront KLM with the cooperation of deportation
to dangerous and war stricken territories
See for eralier correspondence my letter to the KLM on behalf of the Afghan refugee Parwais Sangari, the last part of this link
I warn you:
When  this Afghan family will be in danger, you are
morally responsible for their human rights violations, because you have cooperated
to the inhuman Dutch asylum policy
AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!
SHAME ON YOU, KLM!!
I urge to you NOT to cooperate with this deportation any longer!!
Kind greetings
Astrid Essed
